Module 7
Please respond to the following questions in your personal blog:
What do you feel has been the most useful thing you will take away from this course?
The most useful thing that I will take away from this course is how easily adaptable technology can be fit into daily lessons. I have always like using technology but more on the teacher side in helping me deliver lessons, now I have the tools and knowledge resources to also allow the students to get their hands dirty (not literally) into the lesson by using technology tools.
Do you think you will plan units that follow a similar format to this one in the future?
I will definitely look at planning integrated thematic units that utilize technology while covering standards throughout the curriculum and not in just one area. This is my next goal to plan a unit that I can carry on throughout the subjects and it simply involves all aspects of the curriculum.
What features from this type of curriculum design might you use again?
Integrating the technology, use of rubrics and student centered self asssessments to allow the students to take ownership of their own learning.
Is there anything else you hope to learn from this course before it is completed?
Does it have to end....
There are too many things to list that I want to learn, this course has opened up a world of ideas and questions and wanting to learn this and that, I will continue to utilize our Mr. McMahon and Mrs. Payne as much as I possibly can to help enlighten me on all my remaining technology questions that will undoubtedly come up!

Module 6
This module has helped me think about self-directed learners and the role of differentiation in the following ways….
I am a follower to a point in the constructivist way of thinking in that the student must build their own knowledge through activities that engage them in active learning, I read that in some textbook and it stuck in my head. I do follow this in the sense that I am very much like that I sometimes have to find my way through a concept in order to grasp it. But with a teacher hat on I have to say that some type of boundaries or guidance have to be instilled in order provide the necessary structure for the students.

Module 5
This module has helped me think about self centered student assessment in the following ways..
There is an active participation in the learning and they feel like contributors when they have given their input. they take on that responsibility for their learning which increases I feel their participation and involvement. I can now facilitate and be more of a resource instead of in front of the classroom they can now self guide and open their minds to new avenues.

Module 4
How can technology be used most effectively to support assess student learning.
Technology can be used to assess student learning in a many ways, having the students create powerpoints to assess their knowledge of vocabulary allows them to type it, create a picture of it through a sketchfu (that my kids love) or simply finding a picture to match is another way. Also using it for centers is also a great tool.

Module 3
This module has helped me think about the impact the internet has on my students learning in the following ways...
The internet and the technology associated with the internet has dramatically altered how I look at my lessons now. If there is a way that I can incorporate some type of technological aspect either a webquest or even just adding a digital camera to the mix gets them more engaged. Using the internet to explore programs that can help the students with science concepts, vocabulary, social studies and always reading.

Module 2
This module has helped me to think about using standards, CFQ's, or formative assessments in the following ways...
To be able to structure and directly link these together has helped me to look at the content in a different way. It allows a more focused framework that builds up the knowledge.

Module 1
This module has made me think about my role as an instructional designer in the following ways...
As group facilitator in my quest to create a PBL for my students I am in awe of the many avenues, ideas and resources available for my students. It has created an entire new dimension of education that is actually overwhelming.
